Within the waters of Gig Harbor Bay, it shall be unlawful for any person to operate a vessel or watercraft that is at the time powered by machinery, or to taxi a seaplane at a speed in excess of five miles per hour, or at a slower speed that produces a damaging wake. Nothing in this section shall be construed as exempting any person from liability caused by wake action from operation of any vessel in Gig Harbor Bay. (Ord. 1334 § 1, 2016; Ord. 766 § 2, 1997).
