The city attorney shall be licensed to practice law in the state of Washington, in good standing with the Washington State Bar Association, admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Western District of Washington, and must possess the qualifications deemed necessary by the mayor and city council as indicated in any job classification or solicitation for appointment.
