There is hereby created the office of the city attorney. The city council shall approve the contract for the city attorney. The contract shall be approved following a public hearing before the city council to consider all proposals. Appointment of a city attorney may be on a full-time basis or by any reasonable contractual arrangement for such professional services. (Ord. 1410 § 1, 2019; Ord. 603 § 1, 1991).
