The hearing on such petition may be held before the city council or before a committee thereof upon the date fixed by resolution or at the time said hearing may be adjourned to. The city council may grant the petition to vacate the street, alley, or any part thereof by ordinance, with or without conditions, or the city council may deny the petition. (Ord. 723 § 1, 1996).
